Merito

For EB-1A, O-1A, and EB-2 NIW petitioners — preparing on your own or alongside your attorney — Merito builds one structured Case File and shows you how it reads from the officer's side, criterion by criterion.

Merito is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Nothing on this site is an approval prediction or a substitute for advice from a licensed immigration attorney.

One Case File. Every tool reads it the same way.

Free · No login required

Start with a real, criterion-by-criterion score.

All of this,in one Case File.

Every worry above gets answered inside the same structured file — so you're never re-explaining your case to a new tool, a new attorney, or a new officer.

HOW IT WORKS

How it works

01

Upload your documents

Petition draft, exhibits, letters — Merito extracts and structures them into one Case File. Every tool after this reads that same structured file, not raw documents.

02

See it mapped to the criteria

Every document lands against the criteria it supports, with evidence-strength badges, not guesses. Gaps show up immediately, before an officer ever finds them.

03

Audit, precedent, RFE readiness

Deterministic checks catch what a first read misses, Case Matcher surfaces AAO decisions relevant to your claims, and RFE Studio parses real objections into a response skeleton — all built for your attorney to act on directly.

Every step is mapped.
You just follow it.

From your first upload to an attorney-ready Case File, one structure carries through every step — nothing re-explained, nothing left to guesswork.

Representing a client?

Merito Counsel gives your firm multi-case workspaces, client invites, and a read-only Attorney View — without your client needing a Pro plan of their own.

For law firms

For law firms

Give your clients a structured, attorney-ready view.

Your associates already spend hours re-reading exhibit lists and cross-checking citations by hand before a filing goes out — work that code does deterministically, in seconds, across every case in the firm's queue. Merito Counsel sits underneath your existing review, not instead of it: it hands you a pre-filing report with the errors already found, so the read-through starts from what's wrong, not from page one.

For law firms
Merito Score card: a 74 ring gauge, 71% filing readiness, and rows for criteria met, open findings, and last audit.
Pre-filing findings card: exhibit 8 renumbered, 2 dead links flagged, certifications complete, 21 deterministic checks.
Exhibit list card showing four exhibits with their review status, one flagged.
Attorney-to-client message thread about two flagged issues, a fix, and filing approval.
An attorney's desk with a tablet showing the Merito Attorney View case list, a case folder, and evidence exhibits.
Filing timeline card: Case File built, pre-filing audit passed, filed, RFE issued, approved.
Your cases card listing three clients with open findings, ready-to-file, and awaiting-documents statuses.
Readiness trend card: a rising monthly line chart, shape only, no exact scores shown.
Attorney View card: a read-only share link and a note that no platform access is required for the client.

See every client's standing at a glance.

A firm dashboard shows every active case's score, status, and what's actually blocking it — not a spreadsheet you maintain by hand. When an RFE lands, it surfaces immediately, not the next time someone happens to open that file.

Frequently asked questions

Product

No. Merito is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, represent you before USCIS, or predict approval odds. It's a self-serve readiness review meant to be used alongside — not instead of — a licensed immigration attorney.

No. Merito never states or implies an approval probability. It shows you how your case reads against the published criteria and where an officer might raise questions, framed as a readiness review, not a prediction.

EB-1A (extraordinary ability), O-1A (extraordinary ability nonimmigrant), and EB-2 NIW (national interest waiver) petitioners.

The free tools (Merito Score, RFE Decoder, Pathway Navigator, Citation Quick-Check, Radar Lite, Checklist Generator) work standalone, with no account and no Case File required. The Pro tools (Officer Simulator, Case Canvas, Merito Audit, RFE Studio, and others) work against your structured Case File and are included or credit-metered depending on your plan.

Pricing & credits

Each paid plan includes a set number of credits per month, spent when you run a credit-metered tool. Running out doesn't lock your account — you can purchase additional credits separately.

Yes — manage or cancel your subscription anytime from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you won't be charged again after that.

Security & data

Your files are stored in private, access-controlled storage tied to your account. Tools never read your raw documents directly — they read a structured summary built once from your files. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings.

No. Your documents and case data are never used to train AI models — see the encryption and no-training-use section above for the full policy.

Yes — every user's data is isolated at the database level, not just by application logic, so a bug in one page can't leak another user's case.

Every file is validated by its actual content, not just its filename or claimed file type, before it's processed.

Every AI call is logged and cost-tracked, and an automatic circuit breaker halts AI-consuming tools if usage ever spikes unexpectedly, rather than letting it run unattended.

Your account enters a 14-day grace period you can cancel from Settings; after that, an administrator reviews the request before your account and case content are permanently deleted. We keep only what the law requires (financial records) and de-identified aggregate statistics — never your case content.

By default, no one but you. Your case data is isolated at the database level, not just gated by application code — it isn't visible to other users, and there's no dashboard where staff casually browse case content. If you want your attorney to see it, you create a specific, read-only Attorney View share link yourself; nothing is shared automatically, and your attorney doesn't need a Merito account to open it. Running an analysis tool sends only the relevant part of your structured Case File to our AI processing provider, Anthropic, solely to generate that result — under an agreement that it's never used to train their models. A narrow, logged admin access path exists for account support and security work; it isn't a standing window into your case.

Yes to both. Every case dashboard lets you export a full PDF of your Case File, Portfolio, or Binder whenever you want — exports are included on every paid plan (a trialing account unlocks them the moment its plan starts, same as the rest of the trial). To delete data instead, go to Settings: account deletion opens a 14-day grace period you can cancel, then an administrator reviews the request before your account and case content are permanently removed. We keep only what the law requires (financial records) and de-identified aggregate statistics — never your case content.
